Reliability of Pipelines

The Energy Club is pleased to present Reliability of Pipelines, featuring Fernando Martinez, P.Eng., a Risk Management Advisor from the Norealis-Woodlands Project Program. Fernando will be speaking about technical mitigation of operational, safety and environment risk in design of pipeline projects. Specifically, he will be covering:
1. Discussion of current risk and reliability management practices in design of engineering systems
2. Current Industry Challenges : Discussion on drivers for increased requirements in engineering design. Point of view of Pipeline Industry.
3. Northern Alberta geographical design challenges in pipeline design.

Fernando Martinez is a reliability and risk specialist with 23 years experience focusing on reliability and efficiency improvement of operating plants and in risk management of major projects associated with oil and gas, oil sands, power generation, pipelines and automobile industry. His most recent work experience includes companies such as; Dow Chemical, Syncrude, Nexen, and Enbridge where He is currently a senior risk advisor for the Major Projects division.
