We are looking for submissions for the Energy Club Talks!
Energy Club is hosting an Energy Club talks (TEDx-style) in March (tentatively March, 30), with the main presenters being YOU, the students.
This event is open to anyone who wants to do a presentation on an energy and environment related topic of their choice. We are pleased to invite undergraduate and graduate students to submit a 300 word proposal that will then be reviewed to select the speakers for the Talk.
Some energy related topics to choose from include: Geothermal, Solar (PV/Thermal), Wind, Hydro, Tidal, Nuclear, Biofuels, Coal, Natural Gas, LNG, Hydraulic Fracturing, Oil, Oil Sands, In situ, Electric Grid, Electricity Storage, Hydrogen, Fossil Fuels, etc. (Your topic does not have to be on this list).
This would be a great opportunity for graduate or undergraduate students to present their research or topics they are passionate about to the student body. Even if you do not feel like presenting, we invite you to come out and see what others at the UofA are doing. Presenters will be provided participation certificate and a gift from energy club. See HERE for an example of last year's presentations.
Deadline for submissions is extended to Friday, March 25th, 2016
Email a maximum 300 word proposal and a CV to firstname.lastname@example.org
