Learn about their experiences and perspectives on business opportunities and challenges. There will be 3 speakers on the panel at the event:
Klaas Rodenburg, MA, C.Tech. LEED AP BD+C, CEO aceBIM
Klaas is the CEO of the Alberta Center of Excellence for Building Information Modelling (aceBIM) and brings more an 30 years of experience in the buildings design industry. Starting his career as a manual drafter producing drawings with pencil on velum and ink on Mylar he transitioned Cheriton Engineering to Computer Assisted Drawing (CAD) with the early version of AutoCAD. More recently Klaas has been active in the integrated design approach for creating sustainable and high performance buildings. In his role as the CEO of aceBIM he is focused on integrating these elements in order to develop a more productive buildings industry in Alberta.
Ken Hanasyk, President of MagWall™ Building Systems
Ken Hanasyk is the President of MagWall Inc. located in Edmonton, Alberta. Ken is a founding partner in MagWall and has been instrumental in bringing the first Magnesium Oxide Board sheathed structural insulated building panels to market.
Jennifer Coffin, C. Tech. (Applied), LEED AP, Quality Assurance/ LEED Coordinator, Stuart Olson Dominion
Jen Coffin graduated from the Architectural Technology program at NAIT in 2001. After spending 11 years in the Consulting Engineering field she has recently become a part of the Stuart Olson Dominion Construction Ltd. team as the Quality Assurance/ LEED Coordinator. Jen brings a passion for finding sustainable solutions and green building as well as a willingness to work within a team to find the best solutions for a project.
The price is $15 for students, which is a great deal as it gets you into the conference, which is $35 normally.
